Description

Objectives:

  • Brief review of pathophysiology behind type 2 DM
  • Understand the role and limitations of incretins in the treatment of DM
  • Be familiar with some of the newer concerns regarding this class of medications

Teck Khoo, MD, FACE Related Seminars and Products


Teck K. Khoo, M.D., FACE, CCD, is a graduate of the University of Calgary, Canada.  He completed his internal medicine residency and his Endocrinology Fellowship at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine.  Dr. Khoo is board certified in internal medicine, endocrinology and metabolism.  He also has a certification in Clinical Densitometry from the International Society of Clinical Densitometry and in Thyroid Ultrasonography and Biopsy from American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE). Dr. Khoo is practices at the Iowa Diabetes and Endocrinology Center in Des Moines, Iowa.  He is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at Carver College of Medicine, University of Iowa and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Endocrinology at Des Moines University.  Also a member of the Mercy Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency Committee.
