- Postpartum health care visits are focused on medical issues identifying hypertension, infection, and mental health concerns while largely ignoring the musculoskeletal health system Studies have shown women who exercise regularly may have a lower bmi and lead healthier lifestyles that may carry over to their offsprings. This lecture will review the recent literature on safe return to exercise postpartum and the importance of inclusion of musculoskeletal care in postpartum office visit.
