Dr. Dickens attended the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, WV.   He completed an Osteopathic Internship at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, NY and a Family Medicine Residency at the Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA. He worked as a family practice physician at Group Health Permanente in Olympia, WA, and returned to Roanoke, VA in for the same position with the Carilion Clinic until March 2014 when he joined the staff at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, VA Campus.

Dr. Dickens has published two books, "Your Health, an Owner's Manual" in 2011 and "Habits for a Healthy Life" in 2013, and is a Certified Personal Trainer with the American Council on Exercise. He has participated in several international medical missionary trips and his clinical interests include international medicine, pediatric and adolescent medicine, medical genetics, and osteopathic manipulative medicine.

Dr. Cavanaugh is a nephrologist specializing in glomerular diseases or diseases that impact the kidneys. These include lupus, vasculitis, membranous nephropathy and focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), among others.

Cavanaugh attended medical school at the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine at Ohio University, where he met his wife. They both completed their internal medicine training at the University of Louisville. Cavanaugh then went on to pursue a nephrology fellowship at Yale University before settling in Virginia. Since arriving at the University of Virginia in August of 2019, he has
established a dedicated multidisciplinary glomerular disease clinic,    as well as a combined rheumatology-nephrology clinic.

Mr. Cottone represents healthcare clients, including healthcare providers, treatment facilities, healthcare groups and national hospital organizations in civil litigation. His main focus is on defense of medical malpractice claims, but he also has great experience defending clients in various other matters such as Board of Medicine investigations, employment discrimination claims, commercial disputes, and general liability.  He has a true passion for courtroom advocacy, which began as a criminal prosecutor.  Since then, he has dedicated his career to represent the interests of medical professionals and healthcare organizations devoted to providing an invaluable service to our communities.

Dr. Snider attended medical school at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ where he also completed a fellowship in Osteopathic Medical Education. He did his residency in Family Medicine at Scottsdale Healthcare in Scottsdale, AZ.

Dr. Frasca earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, completed Family Medicine Residency training at Eisenhower Army Medical Center, and is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Initially from the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Dr. Eshbaugh received her B.S from Virginia Tech and later her Osteopathic Medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. She went on to do both her internal medicine residency and rheumatology fellowship training at Largo Medical Center in Largo Florida. She is currently in private practice at the Center for Arthritis and Rheumatic Diseases in North Suffolk and Chesapeake Virginia. Timothy R. Jennings, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist, master psychopharmacologist, international speaker, a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and Fellow of the Southern Psychiatric Association. Aleksandra Brown, DO Related Seminars and Products


Aleksandra Brown was born in Derventa, Bosnia and Herzegovina and came to the United States as an exchange student in 1999. She decided to pursue a career in medicine after working in a hospital emergency room as an undergraduate. She earned her D.O. from Des Moines University in 2009, where she was awarded the academic and service excellence award for outstanding academic and interpersonal leadership. She lives in Blacksburg with her family, and is fluent in Bosnian, Serbian, and Croatian in addition to English.

Robert S. Jones, DO, MS, FACP, FIDSA, CPE is the medical director for Infectious Diseases and an associate medical director at the Quest Chantilly, Virginia lab. Daniel Alexander, DO Related Seminars and Products


After completing his osteopathic medical degree at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Alexander completed his internal medicine residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. He completed his Cardiology and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowships at VCU in Richmond, VA.

The Virginia Osteopathic Medical Association (VOMA) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. VOMA designates this program for a maximum of 18 AOA Category 1A CME credits and will report CME credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation.
