Richard Zimmer, CMBI
Richard Zimmer, CMBI, is received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Professional Law Enforcement from Oklahoma City University and began his career at the Oklahoma City Police Department in 1978. Three years later, Rick was appointed to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation [OSBI] and assigned to the Central Regional Office in Oklahoma City. After completion of the OSBI Academy, Zimmer was assigned to the Southwest Regional Office, Lawton were he served as a Resident Agent in Altus, Oklahoma, conducting investigations in the Southwest part of Oklahoma. In 1984, Zimmer transferred back to the OSBI Central Regional Office where he was assigned to the Auto Theft Unit. In 2009, Rick retired from the OSBI after almost 28 years of service. On May 16, 2011, Rick was appointed an Investigator for the Oklahoma State Board of Osteopathic Examiners where he conducts investigations of osteopathic physicians for violations of the Oklahoma Osteopathic Medical Act. In 2012, he was promoted to Chief Investigator, a position he currently holds.
