Michael Madsen, MD

Michael Madsen, MD is board-certified in Anatomic and Forensic Pathology and has been practicing forensic pathology for over ten years. He has worked for Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Office for seven years and was appointed as Chief Medical Examiner in March of 2024. Prior to coming to Flagstaff, he worked for six years at the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office in Ramsey, Minnesota. Dr. Madsen graduated from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in 2006 after which he completed pathology residency at the University of Vermont. He then completed his forensic pathology fellowship at the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
