Kevin Meakin, DO
Dr. Meakin received his medical degree from the Heritage Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his internship and residency training in Otolaryngology-Facial Plastic Surgery through the Heritage Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Meakin is a Board Certified Fellow of the American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He served on the Board of examiners for the American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery for 18 years from 2001-2019. Dr. Meakin has been an Assistant Professor of Clinical ENT-Head and Neck Surgery at EVMS for 20 years and has practiced Otolaryngology in the Tidewater Area of Virginia for going on 24 years. He provides evidence-based state-of-the-art medical care in the field of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, and Otolaryngic Allergy and believes that actively listening to and acknowledging his patient’s concerns plays an integral part in their care. Patient-centered care is the focus of Dr. Meakin’s practice style and philosophy in practicing evidence-based medicine.
