Dennis Rau, DO

Associate Dean of Osteopathic Integration, Sam Houston State University


Dr. Dennis Rau serves as Associate Dean of Osteopathic Integration and Associate Professor of Osteopathic Principles & Practice at SHSU-COM. 
Dr. Rau received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of New England. He later earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine.  
In 2009 he completed his general rotating internship at Florida Hospital East and completed his Neuromuscular Medicine residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York.  
Prior to coming to SHSU-COM, Dr. Rau served as Assistant Dean of Osteopathic Integration and Associate Professor of Osteopathic Principles & Practice at the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine and was an assistant professor of OPP at the William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine from 2013-2018. 
Dr. Rau has special interest and training in cranial osteopathy as well as visceral techniques.
