David A. Simpson, D.O., D.FACN, FAANEM, FAAN is employed by Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Michigan. He graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Kirksville, MO. Dr. Simpson completed neurology residency at Botsford Hospital, Farmington Hills, MI. He is certified in Neurology and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He serves as Professor of Neurology, Michigan State University and previously served as the Director of the MDA/ALS Centers at Michigan State University and the MDA/ALS Center in Farmington Hills, Michigan. He is a past president of the American College of Osteopathic Neurologists and Psychiatrists. He has lectured extensively in the area of neuromuscular disorders as well as neurological disorders at local, state, national and international programs. He currently serves as a resident trainer and previously served as Fellow/Resident Trainer, EMG Laboratory, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan. He has trained over 300 physicians in electrodiagnostic and neuromuscular medicine. Dr. Simpson is also a retired LtC, US Army Medical Corps.
