Amanda is the Executive Director of the Maine Osteopathic Association. She has served the organization in several roles since joining the team in 2016. Nationally, she serves on the board of the Association of Osteopathic State Executive Directors (AOSED) and is Co-Chair of its CME Committee. She also has been honored to serve as AOSED’s representative to the AOA’s Bureau of Membership for the past two years. Sean Neal is the Director of Grassroots and OPAC with the American Osteopathic Association and has more than ten years of political and advocacy experience with a focus on fundraising, government relations, and grassroots initiatives. Sean currently heads the AOA’s grassroots programs on both the state and federal, including DO Day on Capitol Hill.

In addition to his role with AOA, Sean also runs the Osteopathic Political Action Committee (OPAC) where he serves as the point person for all political campaigns. Sean was one of the original founders and board members of a physician-industry first Super PAC where he raised over $800,000 in less than 4 months. She received her master’s degree in social work from the University of Southern Maine in 2017 and her law degree from the University of Maine School of Law in 2020. Raised in rural Maine and a graduate of Bowdoin College, UVM College of Medicine, and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles residency program, Dr. Mills practiced in a variety of places including Los Angeles and Tanzania before returning to provide primary care in her hometown. She was then tapped to lead public health for Maine for nearly 15 years, then for the University of New England, and now for MaineHealth, the state’s largest hospital-based healthcare system. As a board-certified pediatrician and public health leader in the most rural state in the nation with an increasing diverse population in its urban areas, her work has focused on addressing health issues across the spectrum – from tobacco to environmental health issues, pandemics (HIV, H1N1, and COVID), obesity, the opioid epidemic, maternal child health, and health disparities, to name a few. Her work has been widely recognized, including receiving ASTHO’s McCormack Award, the AMA’s Nathan Davis Award, American Academy of Pediatrics Special Achievement Award, and state awards, including the highest awards by the Maine Medical Association and Maine Public Health Association, as well as an honorary degree conferred by the University of Maine. Dr. Yee came to osteopathic medicine later in life. She completed several degrees Bachelor of Liberal Arts, Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering, Masters of Biomedical Engineering and Masters of Mechanical Engineering working in various fields before attending UNECOM and graduating in 2005.

She finished the FP residency at UNECOM in 2008 and Then did the OMM Plus One at UNECOM graduating in 2009. Dr. Courtney Pladsen DNP, FNP-C has worked in the health care safety net for over 15 years in Emergency Departments and FQHCs. She is a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner with a clinical focus on substance use treatment and harm reduction for people experiencing homelessness. She received her undergraduate degree from Boston College and her Masters and Doctoral degrees from Georgetown University where her research explored screening and addressing social determinants of health in primary care. Tristan Reynolds, DO is a Mainer who earned an undergraduate degree in biology from Pennsylvania State University and attended medical school at University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNE COM). While a medical student, Tristan was awarded a one-year OMM/anatomy pre- doctoral teaching fellowship. Tristan subsequently completed a PGY1 year in OB/GYN and, realizing that it was not the right fit, left residency to pursue academia as an assistant clinical professor at UNE COM.
