Accreditation Statement: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). The Ohio Osteopathic Foundation (OOF) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.

Paul A. Martin, DO, FACOFP dist. was in private practice with the Providence Medical Group, a 55-member physician-owned medical group in Dayton, Ohio. Additionally, he was the Vice-President of Medical Affairs/Chief Medical Officer at Grandview & Southview Medical Centers, both part of the Kettering Health Network in the Dayton area. He is board certified in osteopathic family medicine and is a Distinguished Fellow in the ACOFP. His areas of professional interest include neuroscience (depression and bipolar disorder), E-prescribing, medical home, Medicare and group practice management.
A native of Chester, Penn., Dr. Martin earned both his B.S. in Biology (cum laude) and an M.S. in Microbiology from the University of Dayton (U of D). He received his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree cum laude from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He also completed a year of doctorate study in Medical Microbiology at the University of Wisconsin. He served his internship at Grandview Hospital in Dayton.
A dedicated educator, Dr. Martin holds several academic appointments, including that of professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, as well as adjunct faculty in the Department of Biology at the University of Dayton. He is also a member of the University of Dayton Animal Research Committee.
