Objectives:
The Iowa Osteopathic Medical Association is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians and designates this program for a maximum of 1 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity.

Dr. Poole is an emergency physician at Mercy One Des Moines & West Des Moines. He was born and raised in Iowa. He completed his undergraduate studies at Simpson College. He is a graduate of Des Moines University. He completed an Osteopathic Internship with an emphasis in emergency medicine at Des Peres Hospital in St Louis. He graduated near the top of his class from Oklahoma State University’s Emergency Medicine Residency program in Oklahoma City.
After completing residency in 2006, Dr. Poole returned to Iowa to work the emergency rooms at Mercy One Des Moines, West Des Moines, and when they are in a pinch, Newton. He also serves as EMS Medical Director for Mercy College of Health Sciences, Clive, Pleasantville & Windsor Heights. His passions include his family, bicycling, golf, emergent airways and toxicology.
