Prescribing and Monitoring of Controlled Substances

The opioid crisis and an epidemic of chronic pain affects an estimated 100 million Americans. With recent initiatives to change prescribing practices, new models for treating pain need to be explored and considered. 2. Explain the most recent screening and assessment tools available for diagnosis.
  3. Describe necessary components of effective treatment planning
  4. Discuss common pitfalls surrounding opiate analgesic use.
