This panel session will discuss physician stress, substance use, depression and suicide and present obstacles faced when seeking assistance. An overview will be shared of the role of peer support in breaking down barriers to self care and seeking assistance.Personal accounts, experiences and impacts will be shared by the panelists.

The New York State Osteopathic Medical Society (NYSOMS) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to provide osteopathic medical education to physicians. NYSOMS designates this program for a maximum of 2.0 AOA Category 1-A CME credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity.
