CAR-T: Continuation in a Revolution of Cancer Therapeutics was first presented at the Kansas Association of Osteopathic Medicine Annual Conference 2023. This program now made available on-demand follows Joseph McGuirk, DO, as he explains the CAR-T Cell Therapy program.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand the importance of immunotherapy in current cancer treatment.
  2. Recognize appropriate patient for CAR-T therapy approval.
  3. Understand historic outcomes in patients with blood cancers not responding to chemotherapy.

Joseph McGuirk, DO graduated with a medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has had over 20 years’ experience in the medical field to date. McGuirk is currently an Oncologist affiliated with the University of Kansas.
